New in August 2021

The last few weeks have seen some enhancements that will help to improve your overall daily work with the Sirvoy system.

Phone Number Validation

We previously accepted phone numbers that were added to bookings even though in some cases they were invalid. For example, phone numbers coming from booking channels historically had less validation than phone numbers from the booking engine. We have now standardized this so that phone numbers are validated extensively from all sources. We understand that you should be able to trust that you have an accurate number to reach your guests if you need to. Additionally, all historic bookings were checked and in the cases where numbers were invalid, they have been moved to the comments section instead. The same is true for channels that send us bookings with an invalid format.

You will see the error message reads like this; “The phone number … was not accepted for sending SMS. Please double check the format (e.g. country code prefix), and insert it manually to the Phone Number field”. If you find this is happening on bookings from your booking channels, please contact us and we will reach out to the booking channel and try to work with them to improve this in the future.

Booking List / Booking View / Booking Search

  • Building on the above phone number validation, we have made it easier to search for phone numbers in both regional and international format in the search booking section.
  • We have added the possibility to search out bookings where a specific extra option has been booked, making the search even more powerful.
  • It is now possible to use the “Paid” filter on the booking list and in a search, and also includes options like partially paid and overpaid.
  • The “Invoiced” filter on the booking list and in a search has been reworked and can now be used in a search. Previously it was only possible to hide invoiced bookings in the list, now the same four statuses used for “Paid” have been added (Not invoiced, invoiced, partially invoiced, over-invoiced).

We hope these changes will make it easier to find the bookings you are looking for. In addition to the above, we have also improved the performance, so the system should be more responsive than ever!

WordPress Plugin Update

WordPress 5.8 was released in July and we have released a new booking engine version that has been tested with the new WordPress version. If you use WordPress, check out our plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/sirvoy-booking-engine/.

Added Support for Latvian in the Booking Engine and Invoices

Latvian is the 28th language we’re adding support to, both for the booking engine and our invoicing feature. If you want to see the booking engine in a language that is still missing, please reach out to us.

On top of this, many other improvements have been taking place behind the scenes to strengthen the robustness of our system.

Thank you for using Sirvoy!
